Polystyrene block-foam insulation that measures 1.5 inches thick is used in the walls. This insulation has an R-value of 4.2 per inch and is cut to fit the framing. Gel-coat fiberglass forms the exterior walls, while the interior wall material consists of Azdel composite board, which is vacuum-bonded to create one-piece walls that measure 2 inches thick. If you’ve never heard of Leisure Vans, its saga started in 1965 when P.W.
Most of the vehicles I was initially drawn to, like the kind of tour buses rock musicians travel around in, are way above our pay grade. Other more economical models would be more like living out of an SUV. We’ve also looked at travel trailers like Airstreams, tiny houses, RVs, boats, and even converting a vintage school bus into mobile living quarters. When it’s time to stop, there’s nothing that has to be set up or pulled down when it’s time to turn in, as we did with the Murphy Bed on the Sprinter-based Unity.
Luxury camper vans usually cost around $160,000 to over $170,000, so they’re definitely not cheap. However, if you’re a frequent traveler or want to live in your camper full-time, the Serenity may suit your needs nicely. Most RVs have steel frames, but the Serenity camper features a fiberglass body. Since it weighs less than a metal RV, it’s more agile on the road. Fiberglass RVs also have a higher payload capacity and aren’t as vulnerable to corrosion. Rent this superb RV built with the highest quality on a Mercedes chassis.
In 2010, the RV division completed its consolidation of Triple E RV and Leisure Travel Vans into one operation. Due to the tough economic climate, Triple E made a strategic decision to discontinue Class A, travel trailer, and fifth wheel production, focusing solely on the Class B and C markets. All products would be constructed on a motorized chassis, streamlining production. By focusing on product quality and customer care, Triple E solidified its name as one of Canada’s premier manufacturers of RVs. Consumer-pleasing innovations included the Empress SE’s aerodynamic design and Climate Guard system that offered true winterization with heated water tanks and expanded storage areas.

A park model RV is a trailer-type RV that is designed to provide temporary accommodation for recreation, camping or seasonal use. PMRVs are built on a single chassis, mounted on wheels and have a gross trailer area not exceeding 400 square feet in the set -up mode. PMRVs are most often used in recreational vehicle campgrounds. They may be owned by the campground and rented to guests, or they may be brought in and used exclusively by their owners on a site rented or leased from the campground.
