Lime Island Recreation Area
Island Recreational offers a wide variety of pools, as well as pool care and maintenance. It has a number of stores in Long Island and New York, that customers are welcome to visit. The only remedy they could provide was “upgrade” me to a bigger pool that would NOT fit in my yard no matter what. I expressed that, but they didn’t seem to care this was their only offer or wait until the end of May to get mine. When I asked how can you guarantee I will get it then, they said not to worry.
Among the many oak and pecan trees are two pavilions available for rent by the public. Set at the heart of the Island District overlooking the turqoise waters of the Red Sea, the Island Recreation Club offers a wide variety of Get Active recreation activities for residents. This natural area comprises a portion of a small forested island surrounded by the Delaware River and the Delaware and Raritan Canal. A trail along the towpath of the canal reveals a lowland floodplain forest dominated by sycamore, silver maple and tulip poplar.
The property was acquired using funds from the “Pennies for Parks” program. Explore the Egans Creek Greenway or the beach at North Beach Park with tour leader Christina Nelson from Amelia Naturally (-naturally.com). These 90-minute tours will highlight the native wildlife and plants that make our island a natural paradise. GBRA’s Hydro division maintains the Nolte Island Park area adjacent to Lake Nolte in Seguin, between Nolte Dam and the powerhouse. Located just five miles outside of Seguin, Texas on FM 466, Nolte Island Park is one of GBRA’s favored park facilities. Nolte Island was created by GBRA to facilitate construction of the hydroelectric plant at that site.
Island Recreation is a Tasmanian company established in 1989 to provide safe, quality, play and recreational spaces for Tasmania’s children. We can provide a full play area plan, including landscaping, play areas and ensuring to include passive and active play options. Our office is closed to the public, but we are still here! CRC will follow all state guidelines and school protocol for masks, sanitizing, and distancing. The Rec Center reserves the right to request Masking or Distancing as needed or required for certain programs or ages.
The pine woodland that surrounds the camping area is scattered with songbirds such as Red-breasted Nuthatches and numerous kinglets in winter. In summer, explore the river and its numerous inhabitants via a canoe or just pick a quiet place under one of the many trees to peruse the water. The Goat Island Management Plan emphasizes the intent to retain the primitive character of the island in permanency. The overarching goal and management objectives outlined in the plan is to provide a quality recreational experience for visitors in the same spirit that historically contributed to the island’s popularity. Bulls Island offers visitors the opportunity to view the spring migration. Various warblers, flycatchers, vireos and swallows may be spotted.
It is adjacent to Hilton Head Island High School and situated near the island’s elementary and middle schools, allowing easy access for youth. Mormon Island SRA offers modern camping facilities, restrooms, electrical hookups, a shower building and a laundromat. A trailer dump station and abundant picnic tables and firegrates are also available. Mormon Island does not offer full hookups at this time, however, campers may use the dump station and each site has electricity. Ball field, basketball courts, picnic pavilions, grandstand, walking trail, playground, swimming pool, public river access and is host to many events. A recreation task force, composed of Mackinac Island residents, met for the first time on August 5, 1994.
